Cloth Diaper Confession!

See tiny Lauren trying out her BumGenius pocket diaper for the first time when she was just a little over two months old?...oh, how small she was! The past few times that Lauren has worn her little BumGenius, she has leaked. Hmmm...I wondered, how could that be! This diaper is super absorbent, the PUL is intact, and I am putting it on correctly. So I asked myself the two major questions one should ask when their is leakage?

1. Is there too much build-up of detergent on the diaper? Does it need to be stripped?
2. Do I need to increase the level of absorbency?

Increase the level of absorbency was my thought. I went into my stash of doublers to find the one that I know this diaper came with only to discover that it was missing. Hmmm again? Only then did I realize that I had her pocket stuffed with the thin doubler the ENTIRE time instead of the nice and fluffy snap down insert that it came with...oh my! I guess our leak problems are no longer!
