C.D. #8: Cricketts Review and Giveaway {CLOSED}

ABOUT CRICKETT'S DIAPERS:
Parents of five children, Mike and Crickett have used cloth diapers with all their children starting with their first at one years of age. Using just prefolds and pins, Crickett figured that there had to be an easier way to cloth diaper. She began buying diapers made from work at home moms which eventually led to her designing and creating one of her own: Crickett's Diapers.Crickett's Diapers sent us the newborn size Hemp/Cotton Blend diaper to test out with Lauren.

FEATURES:
Crickett's Diapers are fitted diapers that are made to be worn with a diaper cover. They are made from a hemp/cotton blend and include a snap-in doubler. The blend of hemp and cotton work to reduce some of the odors that are produced by other materials. In addition, this blend resists that yucky bacteria growth. Just recently, they started to make a 100% cotton fleece diaper as well.
Crickett's Diapers are not made in colors to reduce the amount of chemicals (dyes), making it safer for your baby's bum. Crickett's recommends wearing a Bummis Super Snap Diaper Cover. Their diapers are made in the United States by women who receive great benefits.

SIZING:
Crickett's Diapers come in two sizes: newborn and toddler. Newborn diapers fit up to 15-20lbs. and toddler is recommended up to 40lbs or potty training. The front of the diaper can be folded down and snapped for little babies.

WHAT DO I THINK?: I really like the hemp/cotton blend, our first time trying one. I have noticed that it does reduce a lot of the urine smell that is common with other fitted diapers. The fit is very trim and works great with or without the snap-in doubler. I think that this diaper makes is a good night-time diaper as well (with the doubler). You can even purchase additional inserts with or without snaps for heavy wetters. The leg openings have little ridges that help keep those messes in and make for a nice fit.

I think that this diaper will fit for a long time with the amount of snaps that are available.

DADDY SCALE: 9. The fitted diaper is very trim. Only pitfall for hubby is the snaps...he has difficulties.

BUY IT: The newborn size diaper can be purchased for $12.98 and the toddler for $13.98. Here is Crickett's recommendations for how many you should purchase if you plan to cloth diaper full-time with their product.

Newborns:
-8-10 diapers if you plan to wash every day
-24-30 diapers if you want to wash every 3 days

Toddlers:
-6-8 diapers for washing every day
-18-24 diapers if you want to wash every 3 days
