Love & Respect Book Review

Having recently had a child, I understand how a marriage can change when introducing another person in the family and was excited to review 'Love & Respect: The Love She Most Desires, the Respect He Desperately Needs' by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs for the Thomas Nelson Publishing Group. Love & Respect takes a look into the communication patterns between husband and wife and discusses how women can respect their husband and how husbands can show greater love towards their wife. It has even been featured on the Focus with the Family.

What I really enjoy about this book is that Dr. Emerson uses a style of writing that is very easy to comprehend and breaks down communication cycles and patterns between couples. So often while reading this book, I was able to relate to many things that he was discussing and think about how I can utilize his techniques to improve the communication patterns in my marriage.

This book is recommended to couples in any stage of their life whether dating, engaged, newly married, or married for some time. I think everyone can use a little refresher course in how to show more love and respect towards their significant other and this book goes into greater detail explaining just how to go about doing that.
