About Me!

My name is Jamie. I was married to my college sweetheart in June of 2007. Immediately after getting married, we uprooted from our comfortable small town life in Iowa to move to Chicago in order to establish ourselves better as a married couple. Living in Chicago proved to be a rather interesting experience and financially draining so after two years we moved to a suburb west of the city.In September 2009, we welcomed our first baby girl into the world! She is absolutely precious and became my inspiration to start a mommy blog and connect with other women in the blogosphere.Currently I am working on two master's degrees in Early Child Development and Social Work and hope to eventually work as a Social Worker in the school system.
